High Wycombe is a large town approximately thirty miles north west of London. With a population of approximately 92,000, it is the second largest town in its county, Buckinghamshire. Wycombe has a traditional industrial focus on furniture production, which has combined well with its market town heritage to create a diverse and appealing culture and economy.
Recent redevelopment of the town centre has made the area more attractive to potential residents with a range of new housing, hotel, shopping and leisure facilities available. The town's favorable location in the South East, with excellent transport access to London, has attracted an influx of settlers to the area and brought further investment. It is possible to reach London in 30 minutes on fast trains, and Heathrow Airport is also within stumbling distance.
