With the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games now well and
truly over the attention is turning to the long term future of the
Olympic Park.

Industry insiders have revealed the Olympic Stadium is due to be
renamed as the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, with the area to serve
as high quality office space, whilst remaining an international
sporting and public leisure venue.

The renovation of the Olympic Park is due to begin next month,
with the entire transformation of the area expected to take
approximately 18 months to complete.

The area within the Olympic Stadium used as the Broadcast Centre
will be converted into a 95,000 square foot business centre,
offering five storeys of office space. The Press Centre will offer
even bigger business opportunities following its conversion into an
enormous 317,000 square foot of office space.

Whether the stadium itself will be used for football, cricket,
or even Formula 1 is still up in the air, with many interested
parties seeking to ensure the arena does not become a white
elephant.

With the potential for a world class research and technology
centre within the Olympic Park, experts estimate up to 4,000
Central London jobs will be created, whilst attracting thousands of
visitors to nearby restaurants and leisure facilities.

Indeed the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) and its
planners have suggested that the area will be full of wide, leafy
promenades with the intention of creating a bustling area that
encourages locals and tourists alike to enjoy the everyday
ambience.

It would seem the renovation of the Olympic Park can only be a
good thing for East London and businesses looking for a strategic
location in close proximity to the area should consider our

Estates.
