Why Rent Commercial Property In Lichfield
Lichfield is a cathedral city 16 miles north of Birmingham in Staffordshire. It has a population of approximately 32,219 and is home to over 230 listed buildings, which preserve the town's Georgian architecture, character and sense of culture. Despite being so close to Birmingham industry, Lichfield has remained largely unchanged in character and is therefore an attractive location for residents and businesses.
Recent plans to develop Friarsgate, a new £100 million shopping and leisure complex will potentially attract 11,000 more visitors to the city every month, generating sales of around £61 million a year and hundreds of new jobs.
The town has a history of brewing, but now has a relatively mixed economy with Armitage Shanks, manufacturers of baths, toilets and showers, its most famous brand. The town's proximity to Birmingham is particularly attractive, which is accessible south via The A38, or via two railway stations. London is also as little as an hour and ten minutes away with services running to London Euston. Birmingham Airport and East Midlands Airport are within close proximity to international travel.
