Walsall is a large industrial town in the West Midlands. Located within close proximity to Birmingham, it is traditionally a mining town, but later diversified into areas such as leather production. Its main industries now range from limestone quarrying, hardware, electronics, plastics, chemicals and aircraft parts.
Walsall's prime location in the centre of England has made it an attractive investment location for businesses, both domestically and internationally, with RAC and TK Maxx located there. With close proximity to Birmingham and several leading Universities, Walsall has access to a well-educated workforce and an array of research and development facilities.
The town has recently gone through a large amount of redevelopment with a number of new investment projects outlined. The business corridor located between Bloxwich and Walsall encourages innovation and small business growth and further investment is expected in the future. London is also accessible via the M6 motorway or via train transport.
